Volunteer for Sherman County Governance

Sherman County has many volunteer positions that rely upon citizen involvement. For example, volunteers provide rural and city fire protection, rescue and medical response, city council participation, and educational support. Additionally:

  • County boards are typically filled by citizen volunteers, overseen by the County Court.
  • County Court also appoints three citizens to serve on the County Court Budget Committee as well as a Budget Officer.
