MAY 21, 2024 PRIMARY ELECTION INFORMATION

This is a closed party primary election; registered Democrats will receive a nominating ballot for Democratic candidates, and registered Republicans will receive a nominating ballot for Republican candidates. All other party affiliations will receive a nonpartisan ballot. To verify your registration you can check online at oregonvotes.gov/myvote, or contact the County Clerk’s office.

The deadline to update party affiliation or submit a new voter registration is April 30, 2024.

The State Voters’ Pamphlet will be mailed out no later than May 1, 2024, and ballots will be mailed between May 1, 2024 and May 7, 2024.

Postmarks now count! Ballots received from the United States Postal Service after Election Day will be accepted if they are postmarked on or before Election Day and received by May 28, 2024. Be sure to check with your local post office for last collection times to ensure your ballot is postmarked in time. Ballots received by drop box must be received before 8:00pm on Election Day or it will not be counted. Don’t forget, if mailing your return ballot postage is already paid, you don’t need a stamp!

The following Sherman County positions will appear at the Primary Election, along with Federal and State Offices. State filed candidates can be located on the Secretary of State’s Election Division website at oregonvotes.gov.

Official white ballot box located next to the sidewalk, in front of City Hall, to the left of the city payment box.  Available 24 hours.

Moro - 500 Court Street

  1. Official white, red & blue ballot box at the corner of Court & 5th streets. Available 24 hours.
  2. In the Clerk's Office; Regular business hours Monday - Friday 8am-5pm; Election day hours 7am-8pm.

Rufus - 304 W 2nd Street

Official white, red & blue ballot box located in the City Hall parking lot.  Available 24 hours.

Wasco - Corner of Clark & Fulton Streets

Official white, red & blue ballot box located just uphill from the stop sign at the corner of Fulton & Clark Streets and south of the City Hall sidewalk. City Hall is located at 1017 Clark Street. Available 24 hours.
