SHERMAN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION VACANCY
The Sherman County Planning Commission has an open position for a Planning Commission Member. This is strictly a volunteer appointment. The Planning Commission develops, maintains and implements the County’s Comprehensive and Land Use Ordinances. The position is to fill out a two year term that was recently vacated and requires attendance at regular monthly planning commission meetings. Members must have an interest in land use planning, reflect the values of the community, interpret and apply zoning ordinance provisions, make decisions and recommendations, educate the public on land use and understand the legislative and quasi-judicial process. Potential volunteers will need to fill out a citizen volunteer form and pass a background check.
