Sherman County Medical Clinic’s Response to COVID-19

Posted on March 31, 2020

We wanted to reach out to all of you to let you know what the Sherman County Medical Clinic is doing in response to COVID-19. At the current time we do not have any testing supplies to be able to test for COVID-19, nor do we have a timeline for when we might receive tests.

We are highly encouraging patients to participate in telehealth visits with their Primary Care Provider. Telehealth visits are the best form of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) because the patient is being seen by their provider from the comfort of their own home.  We are offering these types of visits though the Patient Portal. If you need assistance in getting set up with the Portal, please call 541-565-3325. Through the portal you can also request medications, message your provider, update medication lists and more.

We are changing the way we handle in-office visits. If you have any respiratory symptoms, including cough, runny nose, body aches, fever or chills we kindly ask that when you arrive at the clinic you remain in your vehicle and call the clinic staff for further information. Please do not be alarmed when you see staff members wearing masks, gloves and gowns. This is for everyone’s protection.

If you are coming in for other reasons, expect to be met at the door by a staff person who will greet and screen you.
