The Sherman County Court passed a Resolution and Order Declaring a State of Emergency in Sherman County on March 23, 2020.

THIS MATTER came before the County Court for Sherman County (the “Court”) sitting as the governing body for the transaction of Sherman County (the “County”) business at a special County Court meeting on March 23, 2020 at Sherman County Court in Moro, Oregon, Judge Joe Dabulskis, Commissioner Tom McCoy, and Commissioner Joan Bird being present.

WHEREAS, ORS 401.305 provides authority for Sherman County to act as an emergency management agency, including authority to establish policies and protocols for defining and directing responsibilities during a time of emergency; and

WHEREAS, ORS 401.309 and the Sherman County Emergency Operations Plan authorize the County governing body to declare a state of emergency within the County or within a designated portion of the County and to establish procedures to prepare for and carry out activities which are necessary to prevent, minimize, respond to, or recover from an emergency
