New**** Sherman County COVID-19 Business Owners Assistance Grant

Sherman County will provide a one-time grant ranging from $3,000 to $5,000 to eligible Sherman County businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19 until available set aside funds are depleted.

  • Business must be locally owned
  • Business must operate within the physical boundaries of Sherman County, Oregon
  • Business must have fewer than 25 employees
  • Business must have been in business for 6 months prior to March 1, 2020

Business owner(s) need to write a letter to Sherman County Court requesting funds from the program, the letter must include the following:

  • All owner(s) name(s) and addresses
  • What type of business and the business location
  • Why and how business was impacted by Covid-19
  • Number of employees, and whether full-time or part-time
  • How funds would be used if approved

All approvals and amount of grants are to be at the discretion of the Sherman County Court.

Business must reopen if currently closed due to impact of Covid-19 within 60 days of receiving grant or within 30 days of end of County Emergency Declaration, whichever is the earliest date, or grant funds must be returned.  County Court may waive or extend this requirement at its discretion.  Grant funds must be used for business related expenses; not personal expenses.

Sherman County Court will be accepting letters immediately and will review on regular scheduled court days. Deadline to apply is October 15, 2020.
