Victims’ Assistance Program

About the Sherman County Victims' Assistance Program

We are here to support anyone who is a victim of crime in Sherman County. A "victim," by our definition, is a person who has suffered financial, social, psychological, or physical harm as a result of a crime and, in the case of a homicide, is a member of the immediate family of the victim.

Our Mission Statement:

The mission of the Sherman County Victims' Assistance Program is to reduce the trauma of crime on victims' lives by providing comprehensive services which promote self-knowledge and healthy coping in a compassionate, respectful, and devoted manner.  Advocates provide 100% confidential and free advocacy services, support in navigating the criminal justice system, and responsive assistance to enhance each victim's sense of security.
